Lauren Basing
Lauren Basing is an artist and arts administrator with over 14 years of experience working in nonprofit and artist-run organizations. Having served in a variety of roles supporting local artists and creative communities, Lauren values a chance to bring visibility and economic opportunity to the Pittsburgh region through engagements in the public realm.
As the Project Manager for Shiftworks Community + Public Arts, Lauren supports the growing roster of artists in the Pittsburgh Creative Corps, and works with clients to provide guidance on artist selection and project management.
Lauren holds a MA in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a BFA in Drawing & Printmaking from the University of Michigan. She has lived in Pittsburgh since 2020.
