About

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is activating spaces for the holidays, and a number of spaces are being activated with artists projects and artist-focused shops. Even though many things are different this holiday season, Downtown will still be dressed up and beautiful with lots of opportunities for people to explore.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has commissioned Kahmeela Adams of Rugged Angel Productions to create Winter Snapshot. This photographic portrait of the Pittsburgh community celebrating winter will compile photos submitted by people in the Pittsburgh community. This project is open to all members of the Pittsburgh community and Pittsburghers away from home.

Winter Snapshot will be projected in the storefront windows of 623 Smithfield Street between Strawberry Way and Sixth Avenue.

The installation will be free and open to the public from dusk to dawn starting on November 27, 2020 through January 1, 2021.

Photo and video (less than 5 minutes long) submissions are being accepted.
