As fall settles in and we near All Hallows eve, explore Allegheny Cemetery with writer Sherrie Flick, who will provide writing prompts and a brief walking tour inspired by one of Pittsburgh’s most beautiful and historic cemeteries.

No experience necessary; just bring your paper, pen/pencil, and walking shoes!

Meeting Location

Butler Street entrance to the cemetery

Directions and Parking

Participants are not permitted to park in the lots inside of the cemetery. Street parking is available along Butler Street.

If taking public transportation, there is a Pittsburgh Regional Transit stop at Butler & 49th Street that serves routes 91 and 93. View a map HERE.

Additional Information

This event will take place rain or shine; please dress appropriately for the weather.

There are no public restrooms available at Allegheny Cemetery.

Please be prepared to walk up hills and through grass to various locations.
